Flamboyant rapper Fazilpuria, no stranger to controversy, is now JJP candidate in Gurgaon
About a decade ago in 2014, Rahul Yadav Fazilpuria, who hails from Fazilpuria Jharsa, a small village located on the Haryana-Rajasthan border, rose to fame with his rap song Chull. Two years later, the same song was filmed for the movie Kapoor and Sons, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.
Since then, he has been promoting Haryanvi folk music and his rap music in Bollywood. He has several hit songs and music albums to his credit.
On April 16 the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), led by Haryana’s former deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala, nominated Rahul Yadav Fazilpuria as its candidate for the Gurgaon Lok Sabha seat. He will take on five-time MP and BJP stalwart Rao Inderjit Singh.

Born on April 10, 1990, Fazilpuria completed his B.Tech from a private institute in Gurgaon. He comes from a business family and was known for taking keen interest in singing and acting.
