Trump's Bleak Stock Market Prediction Instantly Undermined By Fox News Graphic

Donald Trump’s vision of an American economy “nightmare” was spoiled by a well-timed Fox News ticker on Thursday.

During a press conference at his New Jersey golf course on Thursday, the Republican candidate for president predicted that the stock market would spiral if Vice President Kamala Harris is elected to office this November.

But as he warned that the country was on the brink of a crash as big as 1929, a graphic on Fox News quickly compromised his claim.

While the conservative news network aired the former president’s long-winded speech, soaring Dow Jones numbers appeared at the bottom right corner of the screen, showing the market had gained 554.67 points and ticked up 1.4% that day.

Trump’s dubious stock market warning was far the only outlandish moment during his press conference.

Making a mathematically implausible claim, he said that “substantially more than” 100% of net job growth in the last year had “gone to migrants.”

He also ranted about one of his most overplayed adversaries ― windmills ― and said that Harris has “a very strong communist lean.”

A huge haul of grocery staples and a little blue doll house served as props on both sides of his podium, but during the 80-minute-plus speech, the candidate swerved past his points about food inflation in favor of more contentious topics like immigration, the 2020 election and personal attacks on Harris.
