Trump Hawks Digital Trading Cards During Election Campaign

Donald Trump is using his break from election campaigning to hawk a new batch of digital trading cards.

The former president on Tuesday announced the release of the fourth round of his non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, with this series called the “America First” edition.

It features 50 illustrations of Trump in various poses, including one striking image of the Republican presidential nominee in an Iron Man-style suit.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump said the cards were “back by popular demand.” They cost $99 each.

“These cards show me dancing, even me holding some bitcoins,” he revealed.

Trump, who was not on the campaign trail Tuesday, has been widely mocked over his previous editions of the so-called collectibles, but he claims one previous run brought in more than $4 million.

Trump explains that buyers get a physical card if they purchase 15 or more digital cards and that each of the physical cards includes a piece of the suit he wore in the debate against President Joe Biden on June 27. The televised disaster for Biden ultimately saw him step down as the Democratic Party nominee and then replaced by Vice President Kamala Harris.

“People are calling it ‘the knock-out’ suit ― I don’t know about that ― but that’s what they’re calling it,” Trump said.

Those spending big on the cards are promised tickets to a Trump gala in Florida next month and drinks with the former president.

Once again, Trump’s efforts faced ridicule.

“Harris campaign should pay to put this up on the air in the swing states,” wrote “Pod Save America” co-host and former Barack Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau.
