The Red Carpet Looks That Left Us Buzzing About This Year's BET Awards

The BET Awards are back and as “culture’s biggest night,” we cannot ignore fashion’s place in the conversation.

Stars from the entertainment world, sports scene and music realm got to showcase their style as the red carpet rolled out at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday.

Actor Taraji P. Henson dazzled in a gold Balmain gown while arriving to host the BET Awards for the third time.

Niecy Nash-Betts was bold in a bright blue ensemble, which she completed with matching opera gloves, square sunglasses and a tiny clutch.

Halle Bailey wore a black leather dress perfectly fitted to her silhouette, hanging from her neck from a metal halter.

As guests gathered, people were also eager to see what the evening’s performers such as Megan Thee Stallion, Lauryn Hill, Ice Spice, Tyla, Latto and Sexyy Red would be wearing.

Everyone was also keeping an eye out for the awards show’s top nominee, Drake, who has been in the thick of a feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.

In addition to a slate of stellar performances, singer Usher will be honored with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
