Simone Biles Drops 3-Word Response To Question On Olympics 2028 Appearance

Simone Biles is not ruling out a return for the 2028 Olympics.

The gymnast, who won the women’s gymnastics vault final at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday, was asked if this year’s event will mark her last time “vaulting in competition.”

Biles said that it was her last time performing the vault, the Yurchenko double pike, but “never say never,” she told media outlets.

“The next Olympics is at home, so you just never know,” Biles told reporters. “But I am getting really old.”

At 27, Biles is already the oldest Olympic women’s gymnastics champ since 1952. She’ll be 31 for the next summer Games, which are set to be held in Los Angeles in 2028.

On Tuesday, Biles and teammates Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee and Hezly Rivera won the team final. Biles then took home the gold medal for the individual all-around competition, a title she last won at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Biles, who as of Saturday has 10 Olympic medals, is the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast in history.

She has been documenting her dominance at the Paris Olympics — which she has dubbed her “redemption tour” — on social media. On Instagram on Friday, Biles celebrated her win.

“Can’t believe I did it, AGAIN,” she wrote. “I’m truly speechless. Olympic All Around champion!!!!!!!!!”
