Kamala Harris, Donald Trump To Face Off In Presidential Debate: Latest Updates
Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will face each other for the first time at a presidential debate Tuesday.
The event, hosted by ABC News, will take place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia at 9 p.m. Eastern. David Muir and Linsey Davis will moderate, and there will be no audience in the room.
This will be Trump’s first debate since he went up against President Joe Biden in June. Biden’s shaky performance sparked a wave of calls for him to step aside as the Democratic nominee, which he eventually did, allowing Harris to secure the party’s nomination.
The debate comes as rhetoric heats up between the candidates’ two running mates: the Republican vice presidential nominee, Sen. JD Vance (Ohio), and the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
