Ex-Aide Highlights Donald Trump's ‘Crazy Great Uncle’ Moment That’s ‘Sign Of Decline’

Former Trump White House communications director-turned-“The View” cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin on Thursday explained why she believes GOP nominee Donald Trump’s racist remarks about likely 2024 election rival Vice President Kamala Harris is a sign that he’s “slowing down.”

Trump at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago on Wednesday falsely claimed Harris had only recently begun to identify as Black.

“What I was struck by wasn’t just the blatant racism, the lack of understanding of what it means to be biracial,” said Griffin, but that it showed Trump is “slowing down.”

“He’s never been a super eloquent person, he did not seem mentally sharp,” Griffin continued. “He walked into a room of Black journalists and it seemed like he was kind of blurting out loud what he says privately with his advisors.”

“He didn’t even try to hide or mask the racism and that to me is a sign of decline,” she added. “He was asked should he take a mental acuity test. I think he should. He does not seem right. He kind of came off like your crazy great uncle that you hope doesn’t show up to the family event.”
