A 'Saturday Night Live' Cast Member Gets The Axe And Shares A Heartbreaking Note

It’s one and done for “Saturday Night Live” cast member Chloe Troast.

The comedian announced Monday on Instagram that she was not asked to return for the show’s milestone 50th season. Troast’s stint on the long-running NBC comedy program lasted one season, in which she memorably played an unwanted orphan singing her troubles to a moon with actor Timothée Chalamet’s face on it.

“Unfortunately i was not asked back to SNL this season,” Troast wrote. “I wish i was going back to be with all the amazing friends i made there, it truly felt like home. But it wasn’t in the cards.”

“I hope i was able to spread joy and laughter, all love,” she continued. “Onwards and Upwards.”

Two other cast members, Punkie Johnson and Molly Kearney, had already revealed their departures.

“SNL” on Tuesday announced three new additions: Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim and Jane Wickline.
