Jon Bon Jovi Helps Talk Woman Off Bridge Ledge And Gives Her A Hug

Jon Bon Jovi and a colleague talked a woman off a Nashville bridge ledge on Tuesday, police said ― and their act of compassion was captured on surveillance video.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer was filming a music video on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Nashville when the two sprang into action, The Tennessean reported.

In footage released by the Metro Nashville Police Department and shared by The Associated Press (which appears to have edited it), a woman stands on the ledge beyond the safety railing. Bon Jovi engages her in conversation and a companion gets closer to comfort the woman. Both help her climb over the railing to safety. Bon Jovi hugs the woman and the three are seen walking away.
