Will Smith Reveals 'Scary' Reason For Early Check Out From London Hotel
Will Smith claimed he once got out of a ghost’s way following a spooky encounter at a London hotel.
The actor, in an appearance on “The Tonight Show,” described what led up to the “emergency check out” while playing a game of “True Confessions” with his “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” co-star Martin Lawrence and host Jimmy Fallon.
“This was probably 27 years ago,” Smith recalled to Fallon on Tuesday.
“The ghost urinated in my friend’s toilet and cleared all of his messages from his phone.”
Smith said his encounter with the apparition occurred at The Lanesborough, a five-star hotel near London’s Hyde Park that has welcomed guests including Cher, Mariah Carey, Sylvester Stallone and former President George H.W. Bush.
“We didn’t hear it talk, we didn’t hear it talk, so we assumed it was British but it was scary enough for us to check out of the hotel,” Smith said.
“Do you believe in ghosts?” Fallon asked.
“I believe there are things that you don’t understand, Jimmy,” Smith replied.
