Today in Politics: PM Modi to pray at Ram Temple, hold Ayodhya roadshow
The last day of campaigning before the third round of polling for the Lok Sabha on May 7 is going to be a busy day for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will begin his schedule in Uttar Pradesh with a public rally at 12.30 pm in Kakrai Pakka Tal village near Bundelkhand Expressway Cut, Bharthana Vidhuna Marg, Etawah.
He will then address a public meeting at 2.30 pm near Avadh Sugar Mill Ltd in Hargaon, Sitapur, along with BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Choudhary. Afterwards, the PM will travel to Ayodhya, where he will offer prayers at the Ram Temple and hold a roadshow at 5 pm from Sugriva Fort to Lata Chowk. The route of the roadshow has been divided into 40 blocks, in which Sindhis, Punjabis, farmers and women in traditional costumes will attend, PTI reported. Cultural programs will be held at various places on the route.
The PM will then arrive in Bhubaneswar where he will stay overnight at the Raj Bhavan before addressing two public rallies, one in Berhampur and then in Nabarangapur on Monday. Both constituencies will go to polls in the fourth phase on May 13.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will campaign across the state, with visits to Hardoi, Etawah and Ayodhya. He will address a public meeting for the Misrikh Lok Sabha seat in Mallavan, Hardoi, at 11.35 am. At 2.45 pm, he will join the PM’s public meeting at Kakrai Pakka Tal in Etawah.
In Andhra Pradesh, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will address a public meeting at Jammalamadugu in Kadapa and hold a roadshow in Adoni in Kurnool. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a public meeting at Parade Ground in Malkajgiri, Telangana, at 5.30 pm on Sunday.
