Snoop Dogg Puts His Best Foot Forward At U.S. Olympic Trials

West Coast legend Snoop Dogg stepped on a new type of track.

Snoop, 52, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, ran against four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon, 50, and two-time NCAA outdoor champion Wallace Spearmon Jr., 39, on Sunday at the Olympic Track & Field Trials in Eugene, Oregon, according to multiple reports.

Sporting an American flag-inspired outfit with a top that displayed the face of the late Lakers star Kobe Bryant, the “Gin and Juice” rapper came in third in the 200-meter race, at 34.44 seconds.

Meanwhile, Spearmon placed first and Boldon was second in the race, which Rolling Stone called “extremely unofficial.”

“34.44 for a 52-year-old? Ain’t bad,” the rapper said after the race, according to NBC.

For context, the men’s Olympic record in the 200-meter dash is 19.3 seconds, set by Usain Bolt in 2008.

As an NBC special correspondent for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Snoop also provided a laughable play-by-play on the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at the trials on Sunday.

“What we’re about to see right now is they’re about to get to dipping, gripping, riding, slipping and hopefully not sliding,” Snoop said.

“Jumping over this hurdle. Ah! In the water. Oh, get up outta there. They comin’ up behind him seven-, eight-deep, like horses. I love it.”

On Monday, Snoop posted photos on X, formerly Twitter, commending “all tha world class athletes.”

“See yall in Paris!!” he added.
