Scenes From Milwaukee as the R.N.C. Begins
Republican delegates, donors and party leaders descended on Milwaukee this week for their party’s quadrennial nominating convention. The event began on Monday, just two days after an assassination attempt on former President Donald J. Trump, who made an appearance with his newly chosen running mate, Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio.
Here’s what Times photographers are seeing on the ground in Milwaukee.
Inside the convention hall, delegates and guests were decked out in red, white and blue.
Local high school students helped inflate balloons to be used on the final day of the convention.
