Sabrina Carpenter Jokes About 'How I Got The Mayor Indicted' At Concert

Sabrina Carpenter joked during her Sunday night concert at Madison Square Garden: “Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted?”

New York City Mayor Eric Adams was charged last week for allegedly taking bribes and illegal campaign contributions from foreign nationals in exchange for political favors.

A few weeks ago, federal investigators subpoenaed the Brooklyn Catholic church requesting information about any dealings between Adams’ ex-chief of staff, Frank Carone, and Monsignor Jamie J. Gigantiello, according to the New York Post.

What does this have to do with the “Espresso” singer? Last fall, Carpenter filmed a music video for her song “Feather” in Brooklyn’s Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-Annunciation Parish, where Gigantiello was a priest. In the video, she wears a short black dress while men kill themselves over her.
