Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Tells Tucker Carlson That Trump Team Has Already Offered Him A Gig

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Monday that Donald Trump’s camp has already asked him to play an important role should the former president reclaim the White House in November. (Watch the video below.)

“I’ve been asked to go on to the transition team to help pick the people who will be running the government and I am looking forward to that,” Kennedy told Tucker Carlson on his show on X, formerly Twitter.

Kennedy suspended his independent bid for president last week and endorsed Trump. Reuters reported Monday that, according to a super PAC, the political scion wanted to trade his support for Trump for a job if the Republican nominee beats Democrat Kamala Harris.

In his long chat with former Fox News host Carlson, Kennedy also said he was “gonna work to get [Trump] elected” and that he and Trump’s people were “working on policy issues together.”

According to Axios, Trump tapped his oldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, to be honorary chairs of the transition team to vet the loyalty of potential staff.

A Trump spokesperson had not returned an Axios request for comment on Kennedy’s alleged new duties.

Kennedy, who has alienated much of his Democratic family dynasty in part because of his Republican alliance and anti-vaccine views, may have raised eyebrows among conservatives as well for another bizarre wildlife stunt from his past.

In a recently resurrected 2012 magazine interview, his daughter Kick Kennedy said he beheaded a dead whale with a chainsaw and strapped it to the roof of the family minivan for a long drive back home. That followed a revelation he once planted a dead bear in Central Park and made it look as if the animal was struck by a cyclist.
