Presidential debate live updates: Biden faces Trump in Atlanta
The first 2024 presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump is Thursday from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET, hosted by CNN.
President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are squaring off in their first debate of the 2024 White House race in Atlanta on Thursday night.

The 90-minute debate comes as Trump faces two pending criminal prosecutions over the Republican's efforts to overturn his defeat as president in the 2020 election to the Democrat Biden.
There will be no studio audience for the debate, and each candidate's microphone will be muted when it is their opponent's turn to speak.
CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash are moderating the debate.
