Missing Oregon Nurse's Remains Found, Neighbor Charged With Murder: Police

The remains of an Oregon nurse who went missing have been found, and her neighbor has been charged with her murder, according to authorities.

In a Facebook post updated on Saturday, the Beaverton Police Department said police officers conducted a wellness check after Melissa Jubane, 32, didn’t show up for her shift as a nurse at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center on the morning of Sept. 4. Following an “extensive investigation,” Jubane’s neighbor, Bryce Johnathan Schubert, 27, was arrested on Friday and charged with her murder, the department said in its update Saturday. The update also said the investigation is still ongoing.

Schubert is being held at Washington County Jail on second-degree murder charges, according to NBC News. The outlet also noted that a uthorities have not released the location where Jubane’s remains were found nor detailed how Schubert was allegedly involved in her murder.
