Michael Kosta Thinks Donald Trump's Latest Wild Claim Totally Backfired

“The Daily Show” host Michael Kosta on Wednesday explained why Donald Trump’s wild claim that Joe Biden was ready to assassinate him has backfired on the former president.

In a fundraising email Tuesday, Trump had suggested that the boilerplate text in a 2022 search warrant — which was used in an FBI raid on his Mar-a-Lago home and authorized the use of deadly force, if required — meant that the Democratic president was “locked & loaded ready to take me out & put my family in danger.”

“Holy shit! ‘Locked and loaded’? ‘Ready to take me out’?” said Kosta.

“I’ve never heard Joe Biden sound so f**king cool in my life,” he added, his expletive bleeped out for broadcast. “I always thought of Biden as a doddering old man, but Donald Trump makes him look like one of the Expendables.”

Kosta then impersonated Biden as saying, “The rest of you take what you want, but leave the orange man to me.”
