Melania Trump Roasted For Incredibly Random Tweet About New York City

Melania Trump’s musings about New York City left social media users giggling and scratching their heads.

“New York City captivated my heart the moment I arrived, 28 years ago today. This electrifying town isn’t just my home; it’s a colorful canvas where dreams come alive. New York’s iconic skyline and vibrant culture inspire me every day,” the former first lady wrote Tuesday on X (formerly Twitter).

Her X account is only lightly active, posting from time to time to mark holidays, sell products and share statements.

Donald Trump and his wife changed their primary residence from Manhattan to the former president’s Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2019. Their son, Barron Trump, will be attending college in New York in the fall.

Melania Trump, who has largely been absent from the public eye throughout her husband’s 2024 campaign, immigrated to the U.S. in 1996. She was working as a model in New York when she met her future husband at a party.

Melania Trump’s view of the city apparently differs from that of the Republican nominee, who has called it “dirty & unsafe.” In recent years, Donald Trump and his right-wing allies have trashed the Democratic stronghold.

“Me drunk in the back of an uber,” one social media user quipped, sharing Melania Trump’s commentary about the city. Others invoked Carrie Bradshaw, wondered if the post was written with artificial intelligence, and raised their eyebrows at the use of “home.”
