Kamala Harris Campaign Mocks Donald Trump For Apparent Speech Blunder But Gets It All Wrong

Kamala Harris’ campaign team on Thursday incorrectly called out Donald Trump for a supposed speaking error during his rally in Tucson, Arizona.

The Democratic nominee’s rapid-response page posted a snippet of Trump telling the desert-city crowd, “Pennsylvania, remember this when you have to go to vote.”

“(He is in Arizona),” the campaign wrote on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting the Republican nominee forgot where he was. At least one media outlet picked up on the apparent gaffe as well.

Trump certainly has had moments lately where his mental acuity can be questioned, including parts of his performance in his debate flop against Harris on Tuesday, but this wasn’t one of them.

In this case, Trump did not misspeak.

A longer view of his comments revealed he was talking about the influx of Haitians in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, after repeating baseless rumors of pet-stealing by immigrants in Ohio.

“So, Pennsylvania, remember this when you have to go to vote,” he said, directing his comment to voters in that state.
