Joe Biden Makes 1 Very Telling Change To His Social Media Profile

President Joe Biden’s X account was swiftly updated to reflect his support for Vice President Kamala Harris after he endorsed her on Sunday to replace him as the Democratic nominee.

“HARRIS for PRESIDENT,” reads the new header on Biden’s profile on X, formerly Twitter. It includes a link to a donation portal for those who want to support the effort to elect Harris.

Biden’s Facebook page still shows a header touting the Biden-Harris ticket that reads, “Together, we can finish the job!”

Biden stepped aside following weeks of mounting calls from Democrats, who raised serious concerns about his ability to defeat former President Donald Trump in November after Biden’s frail performance at the June 27 presidential debate.

Shortly after Biden’s announcement, the @BidenHQ official campaign account also pivoted, changing its name to @KamalaHQ.

“My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made,” Biden said in his statement endorsing Harris. “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.”

ActBlue, the major Democratic fundraising platform, said donations to its site spiked in the hours after the Harris campaign was announced on Sunday, amounting to the “biggest fundraising day of the 2024 cycle.”

ActBlue said nearly $50 million had been raised as of 9 p.m. EDT.
