In a shot in arm for INDIA, Cong and AAP seal LS poll deal: Delhi to Gujarat, Haryana to Goa

In a boost to the Opposition INDIA alliance, the Congress party and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Saturday announced their seat-sharing agreement in five states / Union Territories (UTs) for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Apart from Delhi, their poll partnership will extend to Haryana, Chandigarh, Gujarat and Goa.

The pact was finalised after weeks of tough negotiations and hard bargaining between the two key INDIA constituents.

The All India Congress Committee (AICC)’s general secretary Mukul Wasnik told the press conference, “The Congress has been discussing alliance with various partners across the country. We have already declared a seat-sharing agreement with the Samajwadi Party in UP.”
