Hunter Biden trial live: Ex-girlfriend testifies she helped him get drugs when she was 24 and he was 48

Hunter Biden’s former girlfriend, Zoe Kestan, testified that she helped him obtain drugs by withdrawing money for him while Biden was addicted to crack cocaine in 2018.

On Tuesday, Kestan revealed intimate details of Biden’s drug usage in the monthsleading up to when he bought a gun. At the time, Kestan was 24 years old while Biden was 48 – a point prosecutors made sure to underline.

Kestan said she witnessed Biden smoke crack cocaine “every 20 minutes or so”.

Her detailed testimony was in stark contrast to Biden’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle who spent less than 30 minutes on the stand, giving hesitant and short answers. Buhle said she knew Biden was using drugs in 2018 because she found drugs or drug paraphernalia in his car.

Prosecutors allege Biden lied on a federal gun form while purchasing a firearm in October 2018 when he indicated he was not addicted to drugs.

Both women were expected to testify and a third romantic partner, Hallie Biden, is also anticipated to testify at some point.

Biden is charged with three gun-related counts. He has pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors have called Gordon Cleveland, the man who sold Hunter Biden a gun on October 12, 2018, to the stand.

After an extremely brief cross-examination that focused on Kestan’s immunity in exchange for cooperating with prosecutors, Kestan is off the stand.

During re-direct, prosecutors highlighted the age difference between Kestan and Hunter Biden in 2018 – she was 24, he was 48.

Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau Biden and onetime girlfriend of Hunter Biden, has arrived at the federal courthouse in Wilmington, Delaware in advance of possible testimony today.

The prosecution has ended their questioning of Zoe Kestan.
