How to Watch Biden’s NBC Interview
President Biden is scheduled to do a prime-time interview on Monday with Lester Holt of NBC News. The interview, which was planned before the assassination attempt on Saturday against former President Donald J. Trump, is part of Mr. Biden’s effort to stabilize his campaign after his poor performance at last month’s debate spurred doubts about his candidacy.
It follows an interview he did a little over a week ago with ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos. While most attention this week is on the assassination attempt and on the Republican National Convention, Mr. Biden still faces significant skepticism from members of his party about his ability to win in November.
Here’s what to know about the latest interview:
It will be broadcast, unedited, in a special program at 9 p.m. Eastern on Monday. But excerpts are expected to be released a little earlier, during NBC’s evening news program at 6:30 p.m.
Mr. Biden was initially supposed to do the interview in Austin, Texas, but he canceled the trip after the assassination attempt and will do it at the White House instead.
The interview will air live on NBC and on its NBC News Now digital platform. Afterward, it will be available in both video and transcript form on NBCNews.com.
