What to know about the RNC

• President Donald Trump formally accepted the GOP nomination for president during his keynote speech on the fourth and final night of the Republican National Convention. He is the first major-party presidential nominee with a felony conviction.
• The speech, which he said he was rewriting himself following the failed attempt to assassinate him last weekend, included some of the stump speech attack lines his campaign had urged others to avoid.
