Don Lemon Returns To CNN And Jots Down Some Notes For Donald Trump

Don Lemon returned to CNN Monday to remind Donald Trump of his incendiary words after Trump blamed Democratic rhetoric for an apparent assassination attempt on him at his golf course.(Watch the video below.)

The former CNN host jotted down notes while Erin Burnett’s “OutFront” was on the subject. He compiled a list of the former president’s hateful comments and threats after the Republican nominee said Democrats calling him a “threat to Democracy” is “what is causing me to be shot at.”

“For Donald Trump and his folks to say ― and JD Vance to say ― that it’s Democrats who are causing this… that’s an issue,” Lemon told Burnett. “I wrote down some notes when I saw it. Do you mind if I read this?”

Burnett gave him the floor and off Lemon went in a rare homecoming (he called it “going back to the mothership”) to the network that fired him in April 2023:

Trump blamed Democrats who call him a “threat to democracy” for the two recent assassination attempts. His divisive comments dominated the news cycle on Monday.

“Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country — both from the inside and out,” Trump told Fox News Digital on Monday.
