DMK seals deal with Congress and Kamal Hasan's MNM in Tamil Nadu

The DMK has entered into negotiations with both the Congress and Kamal Haasan's MNM in Tamil Nadu.

As reported by PTI, MNM founder Kamal Haasan in Chennai said, "Joined the DMK-led alliance for the sake of the country, not with any consideration for the post."

Meanwhile, LiveMint learnt that MNM chief Kamal Haasan met Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin at the DMK office in Chennai on Saturday.

“My party and I are not contesting this election. But we will give all cooperation to this alliance. We have joined hands as this is not just for a position, this is for the nation," Kamal Hasan said.

Meanwhile, the party's general secretary Arunachalam after meeting with DMK, said, “Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) is not contesting (the Lok Sabha elections), the party will support and campaign. One seat for MNM in Rajya Sabha (in 2025)."
