Dakota Johnson's Rep Responds To Rumors That The Actor Split From Chris Martin

Actor Dakota Johnson and musician Chris Martin’s relationship is doing just fine, according to a representative for Johnson who shut down reports circulating this week that the “Madame Web” actor and Coldplay frontman were splitting up.

“They are happily together,” the rep told People in an article published Friday.

Johnson and Martinfirst sparked dating rumors in 2017. The actor confirmed their relationship the following year during an interview with British publication Tatler.

In March, People magazine cited an unnamed source saying the couple “got engaged years ago but were in no rush to get married.”

Gwyneth Paltrow, who was married to Martin for over 10 years before they announced their split in 2014, has talked about her close relationship with Johnson on several occasions.

During a Q&A on her Instagram Story last year, the Goop founder said she was “very good friends” with the fellow actor.

“I love her so much,” Paltrow said about the “Fifty Shades of Grey” star.

Martin and Paltrow share daughter Apple and son Moses.

During a 2020 appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Paltrow admitted that co-parenting with Martin isn’t always as “good as it looks.”

“We also have good days and bad days, but I think it’s driving towards the same purpose of unity and love and what’s best for the kids,” she said.
