Azealia Banks Takes Her Support For Trump To A New Level

Azealia Banks reiterated her support for former President Donald Trump this week by attending his Wednesday election rally in Doral, Florida.

Banks could be seen in a series of images and videos of the event that had been widely circulated on social media by Thursday morning.

One such clip showed Banks posing with Miami-based music promoter Jake Inphamous.

She also reshared an image of her and Inphamous on her Instagram stories with the caption: “Trump invited the gang.”

A New York native, Banks has regularly drawn backlash for taking aim at artists like Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar on social media.

She’s also made no secret of her conservative views. In 2016, she endorsed Trump for president, only to rescind her endorsement just weeks before the election following the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape on which Trump could be heard making lewd remarks about women.

After Trump won the presidency that year, however, Banks reiterated her support. “He is my fucking hero right now,” she wrote on Facebook. “I am elated.”

Speaking to the U.K.’s The Standard last year, Banks said she planned to vote for Trump again in the 2024 election. When asked about her decision to relocate from Los Angeles to Florida, she said she feels “way safer” in a state where “everyone carries a gun.”

Banks is among a handful of rappers to throw their support behind Trump in the 2024 presidential election. Earlier this month, Rolling Stone reported that Trump was working with disgraced Fyre Fest organizer Billy McFarland to further court additional rap and hip-hop performers.
