'Introvert' Zinger About Trump’s Debate Dodge Has MSNBC Panel In Stitches

A quip about former President Donald Trump’s latest debate swerve had the panel of MSNBC’s “The Weekend” show cackling on Sunday.

Alicia Menendez made fellow panel members laugh out loud when she explained why GOP nominee Trump’s claim it was “too late” for another presidential debate with Democratic rival Kamala Harris sounded familiar.

“So, I’m an introvert,” Menendez began. “I don’t want to be invited to your party, I don’t want to go to your party and that sounds a lot like what I have to say when I am trying to find a way out. ‘I have to wash my hair. It’s complicated. I just don’t know. I got to get a babysitter.’”

Trump “does not want to do this,” she added.

Politico’s Eugene Daniels, also on the panel, thought Trump was perhaps “working through things in real time” and that the “too late” excuse may have cropped up in a conversation he’d had with someone because presidential debates have occurred mid-to-late October before.
