WASHINGTON ― Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, on Monday defended President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, from federal charges relating to a gun purchase in 2018.

What to know about Hunter Biden's trial:Hunter Biden, the sole surviving son of President Joe Biden, is going on trial in Wilmington, Delaware, on three firearms-related charges brought by special counsel David Weiss, a Trump appointee. He has pleaded not guilty.Jury selection is underway. Several potential jurors have been dismissed for saying they have strong personal opinions about gun ownership, the Justice Department or the Bidens. Everyone else has qualified to remain in the jury pool.The first trial ever of progeny of a sitting president begins days after former President Donald Trump was convicted in his New York hush money case. The White House said last year that the president will not pardon his son if he is convicted.The trial, which will be overseen by U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika, is expected to last roughly two weeks.
